Water heater damage in Baldwin MI

This is what happens when the water heater discharge line bursts when the owners are at their main home downstate. The hot water steamed the basement with 120 degree water for nearly a month until the owners got a $800 gas bill which tipped them off that there was a problem up in Baldwin. After first drying the structure, SERVPRO of Manistee, Ludington, and Cadillac used dry ice particles traveling under 140 PSI air pressure to blast the floor joists and subfloors. This process removes less than 1/32 of an inch of wood leaving virtually no clean up of sawdust and debris. The remainder of the home was placed under negative air with HEPA filtered air scrubbers preventing the mold spores from moving to unaffected areas of the home and then all surfaces were cleaning by HEPA vacuuming.
