Kitchen fire in Scottville MI
A fire caused by a clogged dryer vent nearly caused the entire loss of this home in Scottville. Luckily the home owners discovered the fire in time and the fire department was able to extinguish the fire with minimal structural damage and some smoke and odor issues throughout the laundry room, kitchen and part of the home. This is a great example of what happens when dryer vents are not cleaned regularly. We recommend that you remove the ductwork annually if possible and have it professionally cleaned and inspected if it is not removable.
