Storm damage at Baldwin MI School
At 8:31 on a Friday night before Labor Day, SERVPRO of Manistee, Ludington and Cadillac was called to a middle school in our territory. A large tree had fallen on one of the buildings, punctured the roof, and caused water damage to several classrooms. The crews worked through the night assisting and guiding the janitorial staff as together we extracted water and set equipment. During daylight hours on Saturday the tree was removed and temporary roof repairs were made. We were able to quickly get the building dried and ready for classes to start only one day late. Once again, there is never a good time for a storm but the week before school starts is a particularly bad time for the staff and teachers at a school.
